The team is currently working to address both these problems. The creators also note that text during the tutorial has some formatting issues and later in the game there are some instances of text spilling over dialogue boxes.

The patch is compatible with the Valkyria Chronicles 3: Extra Edition and requires at least 4GB of open space on users' computers, as well as the installation of custom firmware for the PSP. The project's goal was to translate the script for the title - which was only released in Japan in 2011 - and build a patch inserting the localization into the game's code. The Valkyria Chronicles 3 Fan Translation Project has been in development since February 2012.
